Personal TidBit
I realize how important it is to be happy in your career and I'm grateful for how mine is going. I'm dedicated and a bit of a perfectionist, which trust me, is a good thing. I completed a BA in Computer Art and a BA in English. Combined, they make what I do easier because I can manage all aspects of design and development. Since completing school I have been employed at two companies and have been expanding my skills at an unbelievable pace.
It's important to have other outlets, otherwise you drown in your work. Mine is snowboarding. I've been riding for eight and half years, and teaching for seven. It's a passion, an addiction, that I can't get enough of. I am a Level 1 Certified Instructor of the American Association of Snowboard Instructors (AASI), and getting my Level 2 soon. I love being able to share something I feel so strongly about with others. Some people have no idea what it feels like to care about something so much.
I put this same passion into my work and it is the reason I have been so successful. Now that you know a little about me, check out some of my work, or contact me to get started on your project!
Work Experience
Less than three months after graduating college I was employed at a news media group - The Times-Herald Record - building websites for various companies in the Hudson Valley. It gave me a lot of opportunity to fine tune my design skills and explore new outlets. I designed and built Flash advertisements for the online news edition.
About ten months later I was recruited by an e-retailer to be a Web + Print Designer and currently hold that position. I am responsible for designing much of their print work and email campaigns.
